(b) The authority to enter into a multiyear contract for supplies pursuant to FAR 17.105-1(b) is delegated to heads of contracting activities (HCAs). HCAs may further delegate this authority, without power of redelegation, to the Chief of the Contracting Office at each of the contracting activities. Contracting offices not designated as contracting activities (see DLAD 2.101) shall forward requests to enter into a multiyear contract for supplies to the Executive Director, Acquisition Management (J-7) for approval.
(c) For the Defense Energy Support Center, the authority to enter into a multiyear contract for services pursuant to FAR 17.105-1(c) is delegated to the HCA, with redelegation permissible to the Chief of the Contracting Office only.
