(a)(1)(90) The authority and responsibility of contracting officers to terminate contracts in whole or in part for the convenience of the Government or for default is as follows within AFMC:
(i) Air Logistic Centers, AFGLSC, and 526 ICBMSG: Centralized default Termination Contracting Officer (TCO) functions reside within the ALC PK staff. At Hill AFB, centralized convenience TCO functions reside within the ALC PK staff. At Tinker AFB and Robins AFB, convenience TCO functions are decentralized.
(ii) AFNWC, Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), and the Product Centers: Decentralized convenience and default TCO functions are accomplished in each respective buying office.
(iii) Decentralized TCO Functions: Each COCO may determine whether terminations within his/her organization will be accomplished by a specially-designated person(s) or whether each Contracting Officer will be responsible for his/her own terminations.
