(a) The authority to approve the indemnification of the contractor or subcontractor; the definition of the specific unusually hazardous risks to be indemnified in a research or development contract; and the amount of any payment under 10 U.S.C. 2354(c) is delegated to DASN(A&LM). The authority to approve the source of the funds out of which any such payment is made is delegated to the Deputy Comptroller, Department of the Navy, and to one assistant designated by the Deputy Comptroller for such purpose.
